出生于俄罗斯的伊莉莎维塔·波罗迪娜在少年时随父母移居德国，异国他乡的成长环境让她感到迷茫和疏离，她尝试在艺术表达中寻找自我。在成为摄影师之前，她在临床心理学领域研究并工作了将近七年，波罗迪娜坦言，“这也是我尝试去理解并感知自我的方式”。

当意识到这条道路并不能完全满足自己的人生诉求，她决定投身于摄影世界，“我义无反顾地一头扎进了摄影，任由自己唤起真实自我意象，而不是别人想象中的我。可以说，我的大部分成就都得益于这种坚定的信念和决绝的态度。”

Elizaveta Porodina, born in Russia and then moving to Germany in her teenage. The foreign environment left her the feeling of lost and alienated, prompting her to seek self-discovery through artistic expression. Before becoming a photographer, she spent nearly seven years studying and working in clinical psychology. Porodina admits, "This was also my way of trying to understand and perceive myself."

Realizing this path wasn’t the one to fulfill her life, Porodina started to delve into the world of photography, "I plunged into photography without hesitation, allowing myself to evoke my true self rather than the version others imagined me to be. I can say that most of my achievements stem from this strong belief and resolute attitude."

如今，我们在波罗迪娜的作品中依然可以看到许多心理学意象的痕迹，借助于玻璃、镜子、金属表面切割或是扭曲画面，她的作品中时常饱含平静又强烈的情绪，通过大胆浓烈的色彩和极具个人风格的构图，她编织出了一个个极富冲击力的迷人宇宙。

Psychological imagery still plays an indispensable role in Porodina's work. By using glass, mirrors, and metallic surfaces to cut or distort the visual, her works often convey a calm yet intense emotional depth. With her lens, she crafts the stories with bold colors and light, orchestrates a strikingly captivating universes where emotion intertwines with aesthetics in a mesmerizing way. 

光影编织的绮丽梦境

Dreamworld

少年时期的孤独感让绘画成为她情绪的出口，受亨利·马蒂斯、皮埃尔-奥古斯特·雷诺阿、和巴勃罗·毕加索等多位西方艺术大师的启发，波罗迪娜喜欢使用大量色彩和富有表现力的面孔，她也将这种艺术实践融入了摄影创作中。画笔不再是她唯一的工具，通过精心布置的背景和交织的光影，为观者呈现出戏剧般的绮丽梦境。

Painting became her outlet when she felt deeply excluded in her teenage. Inspired by the works of Henri Matisse, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Pablo Picasso, she worked with lots of colour and expressive faces. This artistic practice can still be found in her artworks today. With carefully arranged backdrops and skilful lighting, she manages to present a resplendent dreamscape.

作为全球时尚摄影领域中最受瞩目的艺术家之一，波罗迪娜曾与 Dior, Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Giorgio Armani, Moncler 等顶级时尚品牌合作，并曾担任 Vogue, Conde  Nast, Elle, Numero 等时尚杂志御用视觉合作伙伴。在其时尚摄影生涯中，众多炙手可热的国际明星都曾成为她的模特，章子怡，周冬雨，朱迪·科默，赞达亚·科尔曼，贝内黛塔·波尔卡罗利，安藤樱，郑浩妍等。

Elizaveta Porodina is currently one of the leading names in fashion photography globally, taking pictures of international celebrities such as Zhang Ziyi, Zhou Dongyu, Jodie Comer, Zendaya Coleman, Benedetta Pocarcaroli, Sakura And?, Hoyeon Jung, etc. She has collaborated with a multitype of renowned brands such as Dior, Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Giorgio Armani, Moncler, and as the visual partner of Vogue, Conde? Nast, Elle, Nume?ro and other fashion magazines. 

即便是在时尚摄影中，她也常常在探讨人们表象背后的真实自我，“我看到的是一种气场，而不仅仅是一个美丽的人；我关注的是他们的灵魂以及驱动他们作为个体的内在动力。我在问自己，生活如何塑造了这个人，我想深入了解。”——她认为每个人都是独特的宇宙，渴望与他人建立联系，而拍摄的这数个小时，就是一个了解他们最完美的机会。

Porodina is always trying to invite people to peer behind the masks, "I see an aura and not just a beautiful person; their soul and what drives them as a person. I am asking myself how life has shaped the person and I want to look deep inside." — She sees people as unique universes yearning to connect with others. A couple-hour shoot is the perfect opportunity for knowing them.

本然真我，假面人生

UN/MASKED

继 Fotografiska 斯德哥尔摩馆、柏林馆及纽约馆之后，波罗迪娜即将在上海呈现其最新个展《本然真我，假面人生》，带领中国的观众进入一个充满超现实主义、象征主义和实验时尚元素的“镜像世界”，体验一场关于自我、身份和情感的深度探索。

波罗迪娜表示，本次展出的作品探讨了我们如何向他人展示自己以及我们隐藏的个性多面性。“它关注的是我们所戴上的角色，以及我们为使他人或我们自己的生活体验变得更容易、更易于理解而创造的面具”。

Following the show in Fotografiska Stockholm, Berlin and New York, Elizaveta Porodina will bring her latest exhibition 'UN/MASKED' to Shanghai, invite Chinese audience to step into her abstract and surrealist photographs reflecting her inner world, and to experience an exploration of their own inner-self.

The artworks in the show examine the way we present ourselves to others and the many aspects of our personalities we hide away. Porodina explains, "It’s about the personas that we put on, and the masks and the layers that we are creating to make other people’s, or our own experiences of life, easier and more graspable for ourselves."

而在这些表面之下，有许多奇怪、陌生、黑暗和未被揭示的层面难以用语言去描述。波罗迪娜希望通过画面去呈现不同模样的“本我”—— 或许是一个女英雄，或许是一个母亲，或许是一个神，或许是一个小丑，或许只是一个影子。

通过回溯这一个个“本我”，波罗迪娜邀请思考自身及人性的复杂性，同时触及人们对意义和认同的内在需求。

探索面具背后的真实自我，你是否已准备好？

Underneath the mask, there are so many weird, strange, dark, uncovered, unmasked levels that are so hard to express with language, which Porodina wants to show in the pictures — different presentation of one's archetype: a heroine, a mother, a god, a harlequin, or just a shadow. 

Through these different format of 'id' (term in psychoanalytic theory), Porodina hopes to invite audience to reflect on the complexity of our own and human nature, in the meanwhile tap into an innate human need for meaning and identification.
