馆藏中国是“南山供秀”平台根据平时收集的各博物馆官网资料而整理的专题内容,主要以分享为主,对内容新老不做辨伪。
本期分享英国苏格兰国家博物馆收藏的部分中国造像。苏格兰国家博物馆(National Museum of Scotland)位于苏格兰首府爱丁堡,是英国最大的博物馆之一。博物馆的历史可以追溯到1780年,其原型是“苏格兰古文物协会”。1866年仿照伦敦水晶宫建设了具有维多利亚风格的皇家博物院,1998年新的苏格兰博物馆楼建成,紧靠维多利亚特色的苏格兰皇家博物馆,2006年两馆合并并命名为苏格兰国家博物馆。该博物馆同伦敦的大英博物馆一样,免费向游客开放。
在博物馆的中国藏品中,有1777片甲骨(其中有些为仿品),为欧洲收藏最多甲骨的博物馆,在亚洲之外仅次于加拿大皇家安大略博物馆。但馆内中国造像收藏较少,没见什么精美的,最出名的应该是那尊琉璃韦驮。
