【现场直击】博而励画廊纽约空间首展“未知水域”开幕

博而励画廊纽约新空间首展“未知水域”于当地时间10月6日正式开幕。

作为纽约新空间开幕展览，《未知水域》呈现了包括张培力、赵刚、张宏图、张伟、马可鲁、林一林、方璐和苗颖等资深艺术家及新兴艺术家的作品，他们有些曾在美国纽约居住，有些则现居当地。他们通过不同维度的艺术实践，代表了中国艺术从20世纪80年代早期至今的发展。从绘画至视频艺术，再到装置艺术、行为艺术和数字网络技术，此次群展就当代艺术作为一种全球性话语，以及本土文化和个性之间的相互关联，提供了关于当代艺术多层次发展史的另一种解读视角。

The 6th of October marks the opening of the inaugural exhibition of Boers-Li New York Gallery, Uncharted Waters, showcasing both established and emerging Chinese artists including Zhang Peili, Zhao Gang, Zhang Hongtu, Zhang Wei, Ma Kelu, Lin Yilin, Fang Lu, and Miao Ying, all of whom have lived or are still living in New York City. Their diverse artistic practices characterize the evolution of Chinese contemporary art from the early eighties to today. From painting to video, installation, performance, and digital network technology, the group show proposes an alternate perspective on the multi-layered history of Chinese contemporary art, and reflects on the transformative relationship between the individual and the cultural context.

博而励画廊纽约新空间开幕展重现张培力的装置艺术作品《临时开放的景点》（1995），张培力本人用数千份报纸建筑一道墙，张培力在墙后席地而坐，一张张地撕碎报纸，成为现场最具感染力的作品。

Most evocatively, Zhang Peili’s performance and installation piece, Scenic Spot Opened Temporarily  (1995), was reenacted at the opening.  Zhang builded a physical wall of thousands of newspapers behind which he sits insistently tearing the newspaper into pieces.
