Li Ruihong
1954年生于武汉市
汤湖美术馆副馆长,江汉大学兼职教授,《现代艺术》执行主编,武汉市文联第九届委员,武汉市文艺理论家协会副主席、湖北省高校美术设计指导委员会委员,《武汉晚报》“艺坛观象”专栏评论家。
曾任江汉大学美术馆馆长、江大设计学院院长助理,武汉美术家协会副秘书长。二十世纪七十年代初向张肇铭先生学习花鸟画。长期从事中国写意花鸟画创作与中国画理论研究,发表理论文章200 余万字。理论文章及绘画作品发表在《美术》《美术观察》《画刊》《中国美术报》等核心期刊,其作品多次参加全国和省市专业画展,并为国内外艺术机构及私人收藏。文化艺术出版社出版《当代中国美术名家作品——李瑞洪》。
Resume of Li Ruihong
Born in 1954 in Wuhan, Deputy Director of Tanghu Museum of Art, adjunct professor of Jianghan University, executive editor of “Modern Art”, member of the ninth Wuhan Federation of Literary and Art Associations, Vice Chairman of Wuhan Literary and Artistic Theorists Association, member of Hubei Provincial Higher Education Art Design Steering Committee, and a commentator of Wuhan Evening News in the special column titled “View of the Arts”.
Li Ruihong once served as the director of the Art Museum of Jianghan University, the assistant to the Dean of the Design School in Jianghan University, and the deputy secretary general of the Wuhan Artists Association. In the early 1970s, he learned bird-and-flower painting from Mr. Zhang Zhaoming. He has long been engaged in Chinese freehand bird-and-flower painting and Chinese painting theory research, and has published theoretical articles of more than two million words. The theoretical articles and paintings are published in the core periodicals such as Art, Art Observation, Art Monthly and Art News of China. His works have been on display for many times in national and provincial professional art exhibitions, and have been collected by both domestic and foreign art institutions and individuals. The book titled Works of Contemporary Chinese Art Master—Li Ruihong was published by Culture and Art Publishing House.
李瑞洪极重中国水墨画的笔墨,引书入画畅情达意,这与他长期研究绘画理论是分不开的。“文革”后期他入室花鸟画大家张肇铭先生门下,深得张老的嫡传。但艺术必定是“自我”的创造和个性的完善,如果说张老更多地恩赐于他“法度”的话,那么他在这“法度”的基础上所做的是更多的“自我”调节。中国文人画极注重主观意识的抒写,力求艺术的真实性,强调精神生动、精气内含、大巧若拙、挥洒流畅。集谢赫“六法”中的气韵生动,骨法用笔。瑞洪君时时刻刻都在这花卉世界中寻找着自己心理契合,觅求着自身的情结流域。他并不认为宏恢巨幅才能度达雄气才进,而尺幅之间也并不是不能道出万物之灵。他能细致地观察到花卉的生态结构,而这些细微的生态结构无不在他的笔下体现出生命的张力。
从李瑞洪的画中可以看出,他喜擅文雅,古拙、秀逸、遒劲、流利轻松;摒弃狂怪、粗野、霸悍、浅薄、刻板纤弱。他虽求得雅,但又有雅俗共赏之功效。这与他能把握传统“文人画”精神是息息相关的。可谓“清水出芙蓉 ,天然去雕饰”,在平和温润、婉转自如、迎风含露、多姿多彩中,予人以清新自得、愉快畅神之感。

Li Ruihong attaches great importance to the calligraphy works in Chinese ink paintings. He introduces calligraphy into the paintings to express his emotions and intention, which is inseparable from his long-term research on painting theory. In the late period of the "Cultural Revolution", he became a student of Mr. Zhang Zhaoming, a master of bird-andflower painting, and was taught by Mr. Zhang personally. But art must be the creation of “one’s self” and the perfection of one’s personality. Based on the “method” taught by Mr. Zhang, he carried out more “self” adjustments. Chinese literati painting pays great attention to the writing of subjective consciousness, strives for the authenticity of the art,emphasizes vivid spirit, implicit vital essence, clumsy great craftiness and fluency. It requires achieving the rhythmic vitality and brushwork in the “Six Methods” of Xie He. Mr. Ruihong is always looking for his own psychological fit in this floral world and his own emotional complex. He believes that small-size paintings can also reveal the spirit of all things, rather than that only large-scale works can show heroic ability. He can observe the ecological structure of flowers in detail, and these subtle ecological structures all show the tension of life in his works.
It can be seen from Li Ruihong's paintings that he prefers and excels at elegant, old-fashioned, free, strong and fluent works, and he has abandoned madness, rudeness, tyrants, superficiality and stereotypes. Although his works are elegant, they suit both refined and popular tastes. This is closely related to his ability to grasp the spirit of traditional "literati painting". His works are “engraved by nature, just like unadorned hibiscus rising out of clear water”. While being peaceful, gentle, tactful and colorful, they make people feel refreshed and happy.
